Greetings! My name is Jenn, and I am currently working on the second vintage (2021) of Cause wine. By day, I work as a management consultant, and by night, I love learning about wine. The so-called “wine bug” bit me a year after college when my then-boyfriend, now-husband and I traveled to Lake Tahoe in early June. Snowfall — as he describes it, a blizzard — prevented us from taking our planned bike trip. So instead, we headed to the nearby El Dorado wine region for wine tasting. Since then, we have gone wine tasting in all kinds of places including New Zealand, Spain, France, Switzerland, Napa/Sonoma, TEXAS, Oregon, Washington, Chile, and even Turkey. We have been beyond fortunate!
Three years after that Tahoe trip, I served as the VP of my MBA program’s wine club. Three years after that, I decided it was about time to formally learn more about wine. So, I took the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) level I course offered by the Texas Wine School; shout-out to my mom who took this class with me! From there, I took WSET level II, WSET level III, French Wine Scholar, and Specialist of Texas Wine. Then, I dove into the Texas Tech Winemaking Certificate Program which I completed the Summer of 2021. I continue to engage in practical education (making wine) — yay!
